Infinite monkey theorem and twitch plays pokemon

The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.

Background story: The Next Web has an article about Sweden wanting your game ideas. That leads to democreativity.com, (which has an awesome design). The basic premise is that you pitch your game idea, and people in Sweden make it. We went off in a tangent in the office though, and here's what happened.

Jon had an idea about a game: “What if there was a game, where you play a government, you create a site, collect game ideas, make them, and profit?”

We then remembered Twitch Plays Pokemon, and had a revelation:

Given enough time, if everyone wrote one line of code to a game, you would end up with the perfect game, ever!

I mean the technology is right there (TPP), there are people with sufficient coding knowledge, and with democreativity, even the willingness is present. What could possibly go wrong?

And this concludes your Thursday Morning Office Philosophy Session.
